Telenor chooses ViBE VS7000 for streaming its multi-screen services

The platform manages in Telenor a total of 26 services, each compressed in a format, and ready for multi-screen delivery.

Thomson ViBE VS7000

Telenor Satellite Broadcasting (TSBC), a provider of pay TV services in the Nordic region, has chosen the ViBE VS7000 platform from Thomson Video Networks para su streaming multipantalla.

Torkel Aamodt Thoresen, head of broadcast technology at Telenor Satellite Broadcasting, commented that "with the introduction of the ViBE VS7000 multi-display transcoding platform, Thomson Video Networks has introduced a very interesting new product. In our operation, the VS7000 produces excellent image quality and at the same time offers critical functions such as power off management, service monitoring and flexible DRM management."

The platform manages in Telenor a total of 26 services, each compressed in a format, and ready for multi-screen delivery. The ViBE VS7000, with its integrated management and redundancy system, offers a flexible solution for service expansion. Telenor has benefited from this flexibility as it has almost doubled the number of channels in the first few months of its multi-screen service.
