Kronomav technology in the most watched television gala of the year in China

The Chinese public broadcaster CCTV used Kronomav's robotic tracking shot for the New Year's Eve gala that was followed by more than one hundred million viewers.

The K2 robotic traveling system Kronomav It was chosen for the broadcast of the year-end gala in China, seen by more than 100 million viewers.

The CCTV network hired the Valencian company to take charge of the tracking shot that was used for the frontal shots in the performances of the different artists.

According to Alejandro Pons, technical director and creator of the K2, it was a complicated challenge, since the infrared braking system had to be adjusted and fine-tuned because the entire set was made up of LED cubes that were captured by the tracking mirror system. Furthermore, Pons continues, “the sensitivity of the Motion Control system that the machine has had to be used and programmed to the maximum in order to be able to pass through the public without any danger”

The most delicate moment was during Celine Dion's performance, since a line of water with Chinese congratulatory signs was allowed to flow from the ceiling of the set, passing just a few centimeters from the tracking shot. Fortunately, Kronomav's K2 behaved very smoothly and the low angle shots gave the desired effect.
