More interoperability with Mosart Newscast Automation
Mosart Medialab will exhibit at NAB 2013 together with Snell (N1820) and Vizrt (SL3305) the new possibilities offered by version 3.4 of its Newscast automation system.
Among other new features and functions that version 3.4 of Newscast Automation now includes Mosart It now features a redesigned user interface (GUI) with full user configurability.
Elements such as cameras, clips and graphics can be easily assigned to quick and easy access buttons making television production easier. On the other hand, news pieces from the newsroom are displayed directly in the Mosart graphical user interface, while operators can store clips and graphic elements in a pool ready for execution at any time.
Newscast Automation 3.4 also includes interfaces to Harris Nexio and Grass Valley K2 servers, Stagetec Calrec consoles; Casper, Xpression and Pixelpower graphics systems; the virtual study system Brainstorm and Camerobot robotics. Starting from an open system concept, its compatibility is expanded with new support for Octopus and OpenMedia Annova, which join ENPS, iNEWS, Dalet News and NCPower from NorCom.
It also supports eight manufacturers of audio mixers, five manufacturers of video mixers, nine brands of video servers, nine brands of graphics systems, and six robotic camera systems, including Technodolly systems.
From a content reformatting and media asset management (MAM) perspective, Mosart has improved its integration with continuity control systems, such as Snell's Morpheus. Additionally, MAM systems are now capable of reusing individual stories or events from previously recorded Mosart productions. Mosart can also be configured by the user to query MAM systems for metadata information.
At NAB 2013 we will also see Mosart's Multi-Studio software package. This package provides high efficiency, efficient resource sharing and coordination between multiple control rooms. Resources such as video server ports and graphics engines can be shared for optimal use of the infrastructure. The workflow for journalists and production staff is optimized across broadcast facilities through template sharing and an automated database, making it possible to create templates that can be invoked by journalists Newsroom Computer System (NRCS), and can be used in multiple control rooms.
