Shotoku and Vizrt Technology in Multimedia
Multimedios strengthens its commitment to virtual scenarios by expanding its facilities in Monterrey and Mexico City.
Shtoku Broadcast Systems has delivered several active boom crane systems for the Multimedios virtual scenarios in Monterrey and Mexico City.
Two model TK-59VR jib cranes equipped with TU-03AVR Pan/Tilt heads will complement the virtual studio solution of Vizrt thus giving greater spectacularity to their newscasts. One system was installed in the main Multimedios studio in Monterrey and the other in the news channel Milenio whose studios are located in Mexico City.
These cranes are configured with high-precision encoders and a serial position interface that delivers data compatible with all leading virtual reality systems to ensure smooth and precise synchronization of the elements of a virtual set.
Naoki Ebimoto, president of Shotoku, considers that "the integration with Vizrt in both facilities was very fluid. Our systems are well suited to the Multimedios production environment, offering high performance, scalability for future growth, and simplicity of operation. Virtual reality expands the boundaries of creativity and captures the attention of the audience."
