Cablemás has chosen an end-to-end encoding platform and headend from Harmonic and CDN from Juniper.

CablemoreMexican cable operator Cablemás is further expanding its VOD platform with Conax Xtend Multiscreen. The second largest operator in Mexico continues to focus on the deployment of additional video-on-demand content for the residential segment with new broadband-based services. The platform's hybrid STBs are being provided by Evolution Digital.

The Conax Xtend Multiscreen solution offers not only the possibility of developing video on demand, but also advanced Catch up, Live TV, nPVR and multiscreen services. Conax will demonstrate the benefits offered by the Xtend multi-screen ecosystem this week at Canitec 2013, in Mexico City.

The integration of the video on demand portion of the Conax Xtend Multiscreen solution will provide Cablemás greater flexibility to add more local content to its platform and add a rich library to the residential and hospitality markets.

The alliance with Conax will allow Cablemás greater growth and penetration in the digital television market, as well as the provision of advanced services to consumers throughout Mexico.

Cablemás selected the Conax Xtend Multiscreen platform from the Conax security solutions portfolio focused on increasing the flexibility of its current VOD platform. The hybrid STBs are being provided by Evolution Digital, while the Conax Xtend Multiscreen platform is based on Conax Conditional Access for content and DRM protection.

Cablemás has chosen an end-to-end encoding platform and headend Harmonic and CDN Juniper. Evolution Digital, Conax and Cubiware will be responsible for the integration of Conax's Xtend Multiscreen solution.
