This is the second channel at ZDF facilities to migrate to Marine automation. In the coming months, Pebble Beach will renew the automation of other channels such as ZDFneo and ZDFinfo.

Peter Hajittofi, CEO of Pebble Beach, said: "We are delighted to have reached this important milestone and we are very keen to complete the remaining phases of the project to the full satisfaction of ZDF, one of the world's largest broadcasters. When the installation at ZDF is complete, it will incorporate approximately 40 operator positions requiring controlled access through multiple systems, which easily fit into Marina's distributed architecture. This solution offers a robust platform to support the most demanding operational needs and is a complement ideal for public broadcasters like ZDF.”

In this project, Nexio servers have been integrated Harris (under VDCP and API control), nearline storage of Isilon, mixers Evertz EMC, as well as other systems for subtitling and graphics Miranda y Vizrt. The Marina system itself, in addition to interacting with these systems, controls the ingestion and playout from VTRs of Sony y Panasonic.
