Its wide angle is identical to DSLR lenses for APS-C cameras, but the lens is significantly smaller and lighter.

Zeiss tweeted

With the Touit 2.8/12 wide-angle lens and the robust Touit 1.8/32 standard lens, Zeiss fully enters the market for compact system cameras (CSC) with interchangeable lenses with autofocus.

The new series is characterized by a powerful optical design and mechanics, which explores the potential of cameras thanks to low distortion and absorption of diffused light.

Michael Schiehlen, sales director of Zeiss, assures that "with the Touits range, professionals will be able to use Zeiss lenses on two of the main cameras on the market. We are addressing this market because it offers interesting application possibilities in advanced applications and because the segment promises very interesting growth."

Supporting Fujifilm X and Sony NEX cameras, Zeiss has chosen cameras with an APS-C sensor to ensure maximum image quality. The APS-C sensor is the largest sensor currently available on the market for this segment.
