Eurosport UK has selected the cellular broadcast of LiveU to improve their broadcasts for British viewers especially when it comes to small events. To this end, it has equipped some teams of reporters with LiveU's LU70 solution, allowing rapid contribution with interviews, training...

The British sports broadcaster has already tested this technology at events such as MCE British Superbikes and World Superbikes; the Fracnia Tennis Open, where it was especially useful in providing material when matches were suspended due to rain; the WTA Madrid tennis; the Masters Snooker in the United Kingdom; and the Tour de France.

Jenny King, Head of UK Production at Eurosport, said: "For us, a big part of the benefit of this technology is convenience, as it means we don't have to rely on satellite. We often go to events at very short notice and booking a truck and satellite signal is impossible or very expensive. LiveU's technology gives us great flexibility to deliver our own specific content, giving us the option to operate quickly and economically to improve our coverage. This provides an improved end product for our viewers."
