Vision Blue are designed to facilitate camera pans with precise tilt movements

David Evans

Award-winning National Geographic photographer David Evans has just made the leap into cinematography with the documentary Silkies of Madagascar.

For this project, Evans has relied on Vision Blue tripods from Vinten. "I started looking for a suitable tripod system. Then I discovered Vinten's Vision Blue. It's super compact when folded and very stable and solid when in use. After looking at other options, it was the most favorable for me. It balances easily and the movement is as smooth as anyone could want," said Evans.

Vision Blue are designed to facilitate camera pans with precise tilt movements. Its easy-to-use controls allow customization and tilt adjustments to suit the operator's comfort. Additionally, the system offers a spirit level with LED light and the LF drag system.

In the Silkies of Madagascar project, Evans has used a camera Canon 5D Mark II with a Marshall 7” monitor, as well as a Litepanels MicroPros and a Rode Videomic microphone.
