Grass Valley K2 Dyno

German audiovisual services company Wellen + Nöthen has purchased a total of ten K2 Dyno repeater systems from Grass Valley, for its rental for coverage of large national and international events.

The company's customers will be able to rent the systems as individual units or as part of an end-to-end workflow of live production solutions.

The K2 Dyno units include a K2 Summit four-channel, HD/SD server with DV, MPEG-2 and AVC Intra codecs, twelve 600GB drives in a RAID 10 configuration for storage of up to 120 hours of AVC Intra content, K2 ChannelFlex software for channel expansion, and a K2 Dyno Replay controller that includes operational capability with MPEG-2 formats such as XDCAM and XDCAM HD. Each unit supports repeater configurations for up to six cameras.

K2 Dyno Replay is a set of tools that integrate seamlessly into a non-linear, file-based live production environment.
