Riedel He actively participated in the XII of the 'Red Bull X-Fighters', one of the most important Freestyle (FMX) events in the world held on July 19 in Madrid. For this test, Riedel equipped the Las Ventas bullring in Madrid with an advanced intercom system that ensured correct communication between the different professionals who make this motocross spectacle possible.
The Las Ventas Bullring has been part of the Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour for more than a decade, gaining weight on the global calendar over the years. The peculiarity of the Las Ventas space manages to put the public in the heart of the action while the motorcycles roar across the track and fly through the air. To maintain reliable and clear communication, despite the intense noise, the Red Bull X-Fighters team opted for the robust architecture provided by the Artist digital intercom matrix, as well as MAX headphones with echo cancellation, both from Riedel.
High flexibility
In Madrid, as in other events on this tour, the Riedel systems made coordination possible between the event and stage directors, lighting and PA personnel, judges, team directors, and health and security personnel. Three Artista systems were configured over a fiber ring with full redundancy guaranteed in the event of a network outage. Artist 1000 panels were distributed throughout the venue serving FOH staff, judges and other members of the organization.
On the other hand, nine flasks for digital partyline were distributed among members of the jury and the lighting team. These systems were complemented with 150 radios Motorola, with eight universal Riedel RiFace radio interfaces that served as radio repeaters to ensure coverage throughout the venue.
The Riedel architecture allowed rapid configuration of a flexible communications backbone that could be adapted to support any need. The team was able to make changes with just a mouse click instead of having to run additional cables. With Director settings, technicians can also adjust levels remotely to improve the clarity, usefulness and security of event communications. The Artist system also worked together with a mobile unit, where the event was produced to be broadcast on the air in streaming to a live audience around the world.
