Cinegy and the British Evolutions innovate in post-production workflows

The English post-production company Evolutions, in collaboration with Cinegy, is launching a new workflow that, under the name 'Luther', allows ingestion of multiple online and offline high-definition sources with registration information corresponding to each edition.

Evolutions, one of the most relevant post-production companies in the United Kingdom with works as relevant as Dragonfly’s One Born Every Minute, The Hotel, Twofour’s Educating Essex, Happy Families o The Magalauf Weekender, has revolutionized your workflow thanks to the technology of Cinegy.

Evolutions chose to establish a cost-effective method for the ingestion of multiple online and offline high definition sources with registration information corresponding to each edition. This solution was 'Luther'.

Phil Vincent, Locations Manager at Evolutions, acknowledges that "the concept of 'Luther' was to reduce the time and cost associated with these programs, for two reasons. The first to make them viable for production companies and the second, to facilitate the abandonment of dependence on the expensive ingest servers used in the production of live and sporting events."

Uno de los primeros proyectos en los que se ha utilizado esta técnica es Dragonfly’s One Born Every Minute, serie de Channel 4 ganadora de un BAFTA.

“Mediante el uso de un flujo de trabajo sin cintas, en Evolutions hemos sido capaces de iniciar la edición de una manera mucho más eficiente porque no había largas demoras en el proceso de postproducción”, ha destacado Janet Smyth, jefa de producción en Dragonfly.
