One of the latest proposals is Cinebridge, capable of integrating third-party applications into the Cinegy workflow.

Cinegy will present the latest version of Cinegy workflow, its award-winning solution for media asset management and archiving. During the next IBC'09, two new modules will be presented: Cinebridge, to integrate third-party applications into the Cinegy workflow; and Cinegy Gateway, to convert SD and HD SDI streams to SMPTE RTP/UDP broadcast quality. During IBC, Cinegy will also unveil its support for the Panasonic AVC-Intra format, as well as a new graphical user interface for Cinegy.

Cinegy Cinebridge allows any software that supports the AVI file format to directly access media stored in file without any conversion. They are possible by creating AVI files and simulating frames. Regardless of their original format, these normal simulated AVI files appear as AVI files in the integrated application, even when the original material is in different formats, such as H.264 codec, MPEG2 and MXF. Since the simulation AVI files are created on the fly, they do not require storage without wasting time in the conversion. On the other hand, Cinegy Cinebridge also has the ability to function as a virtual file server, which allows third-party applications to access Cinegy assets over the workflow as if they were stored locally without export or conversion.

As for Cinegy Gateway, it has the ability to convert multiple SD or HD SDI streams into a quality SMPTE RTP/UDP compatible broadcast. The conversion settings can be marked by the user according to the quality required in broadcast. Combined with Cinegy Monitor, presented during the last NAB, Cinegy Gateway allows you to control IDE flows and intellectual property at the same time, achieving the same results as a multi-monitor solution but with greater functionality and lower cost.
