PlayBox Technology announces its next generation writing system
PlayBox will introduce its NewsRoomBox newsroom system at IBC 2013, which unifies live and pre-recorded content to create news programs using text, video, audio, photos and incoming data.
PlayBox Technology provides broadcast systems ranging from single channel playback server to comprehensive multi-channel broadcast system. The NewsRoomBox now aims to provide everything necessary for effective editorial management, news creation and studio control. It allows you to unify live and pre-recorded content to create news programs using text, video, audio, photos and incoming data. Video cropping can be performed with single frame precision.
The NewsRoomBox newsroom system can be used to consolidate and process content from a wide range of sources, including live Newswire, RSS and Atom ingests. Playback servers, character generators and teleprompters can be controlled directly from the NewsRoomBox's network-based Rundown screen. Control of AirBox, TitleBox and external routers can be executed offline or during live broadcasts. It can also support numerous graphics servers, AirBox players and interactive Titlebox CG.
The NewsRoomBox, which has been built on the Microsoft Windows Server 2012 operating system, incorporates a robust MS-SQL database management system that allows unlimited media, text and metadata and can be assigned to each new news story within a user-definable folder structure. Media libraries support MAM and NAS File storage.
Finally, it should be noted that the product processed by the NewsRoomBox can be profiled as a service for tickers, teletext, network, social media, blogs, mobile television receivers, connected television and OTT content. All news sources and output formats can be managed with a single workflow.
