Ultra High Definition television and advanced content redistribution and next-generation wireless transmission combine to enable operators to deliver a superior multi-device, multi-screen viewing experience.

Sagemcom also presents the latest generation of video gateways, which acts as a video server that redistributes High Definition content in the home, on any connected device, such as STBs, tablets or smartphones, without compromising the quality of the visual experience, thanks to a multi HD transcoder integrated into the product's digital core chip.

The platform, supported by an ARM chipset and a software package developed by Sagemcom, will be implemented before the end of the year, and will offer highly secure content redistribution, thanks to the integration of a complete CAS-to-DRM management solution, providing optimal protection to content users' resources.

Sagemcom is building on its proven expertise in Wi-Fi, including the latest 802.11ac, to roll it out to its products in the coming weeks. The latest generation of STBs integrate this wireless solution in a dual configuration, which allows operators to offer high-definition television, with excellent performance and wireless at home.

According to Oliver Taravel, deputy general manager of Sagemcom's Set-Top Box digital unit, “Sagemcom shows its capabilities to develop, integrate and bring to operators the latest innovations that the television of tomorrow will have.”
