About thirty experts will take the pulse of the present and future of the sector in Broadcast IT Experience
Broadcast IT Experience will bring together the most prominent experts in IT/AV convergence, loudness, multichannel audio and Ultra High Definition in plenary sessions, presentations, round tables and workshops.
On October 29 and 30, the Broadcast IT Experience will take place at the Feria de Madrid North Convention Center, a conference in which more than 2,000 professionals have already registered.
Organized by IFEMA in collaboration with Panorama Audiovisual, these conferences will feature the most recognized experts in IT/AV convergence, loudness, multichannel audio and Ultra High Definition.
Broadcast IT Experience will bring together in plenary sessions, presentations, round tables and workshops all the agents involved in new forms of media capture, contribution and distribution at any time, device and place in an environment of change.
The opening of the Conference will be led by Lluis Borrell, partner at Analysys Mason, who will address the commercial and regulatory perspectives in Europe with respect to linear and non-linear television. Higher Telecommunications Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (ETSETB), Master in Aeronautical and Space Telecommunications Systems from Telecom Paris (ENST) and M.B.A. from INSEAD, has more than 20 years of experience in the sector. His extensive resume includes projects for regulators, operators, investment banks and content distributors, among others, in strong growth markets, such as broadband, as well as in the traditional and digital media market (DTT, DTH, cable, IPTV and Internet television).
To discuss the new content consumption ecosystems and the role that media and telecommunications companies will play in this environment, they will debate in the round table Anycast, anywhere, anydevice… Álex Mestre, director of Strategic Marketing at Abertis Telecom; Eudald Domènech, CEO of TotalChannel; Nico Muñoz, director of corporate development at Havas Media; Fernando Soto, director of Customer Management at Movistar TV; Gonzalo Guerra, Account Sales –Media- at Atos; and José Luis Vázquez, president of the Spanish Association of Interactive TV Companies (AEDETI)

For his part, Pere Vila, director of Planning and Technological Innovation at RTVE, will present at Broadcast IT the experience of a public broadcaster like Televisión Española in a highly competitive framework with new OTT, multi-channel and multi-device services.
Paul Lee, head of Research, Technology, Media and Telecommunications at Deloitte, columnist for the Financial Times and author of several books such as Convergence Conversations” and “Digital Dilemmas”) will address, together with Luis Jiménez Guerrero, managing partner of Media at Deloitte Spain, the future of connected television, from the point of view of access to network content directly from the television, the introduction of new interactive services and new business models.
Already on the afternoon of the 29th, José María Casaos, technical director of Atresmedia Televisión, will speak with a presentation, presenting Antena 3's successful strategy in social and connected television.
Closing the day on Tuesday, Pablo Romero, Director of Content at Yomvi (PRISA Tv) will share with the professionals gathered at Broadcast IT Experience the experience and business model of Yomvi Tv as multi-device pay television.
Multichannel and Ultra High Definition Audio
The day on the 30th will begin with a round table on multichannel audio and loudness. To address issues such as multichannel sound implementation costs, use of metadata, different capture techniques and emission operations, sound pressure management... they will intervene

Concluida esta mesa, Damián Ruiz y Conchi García Pardo, R&D Engineers en el Instituto de Telecomunicaciones y Aplicaciones Multimedia (iTEAM-UPV) abordarán la eficiencia en la difusión de contenidos audiovisuales con la difusión de contenidos audiovisuales en LTE-4G o la optimización que aportan los nuevos estándares de codificación como HEVC.
One of the directors of photography with the most technical involvement in new technologies and work methodologies, Pol Turrents, will share his vision of 4K or even resolutions beyond. The real perspectives offered by high resolution in content production and distribution or the main obstacles for the development of production in high resolutions are just some of the topics that Turrents will address in an interesting presentation.
On the other hand, Javier Foncillas, director for Southern Europe at Dolby, will present 3D immersive experiences in audio and image, autostereoscopy as an alternative, the role of sound in an immersive environment...
The Conference will conclude with a round table in which the state of the art in HDTV will be analyzed. Several manufacturers, together with professionals from TVe and Canal+, will share their first experiences in capturing and disseminating Ultra High Definition both in satellite and digital terrestrial.
