Sony signs an agreement with Cine Center to digitize its theaters in Bolivia

Sony has closed an agreement with Cine Center to fully digitize its movie theaters in Bolivia. The agreement reflects the commitment of both companies to offer their audiences a superior way to enjoy movies.

Seiichi Yamamoto, president of Sony Professional Latin America, has assured that "Cine Center, under the direction of Jordi Chaparro, has always been at the forefront in offering the latest technology to Bolivian customers to have the best cinema experience. I am as excited as the cinema fans in Bolivia who will be able to experience a 4K projection for the next few years. In addition, I am confident that Sony's total solution, which includes the VPF program, the theater management system and the NOC monitoring services “They will improve the operational capacity of the Cinema Center.”
Sony 4K digital projection systems incorporate Sony's most advanced SXRD microdisplay chips and use reflective liquid crystal technology to create more than 8 million pixels, allowing it to deliver incredible resolution and image quality for a more engaging and entertaining experience.
The new R515, with which Cine Center will begin to equip its rooms, is Sony's proposal for 4K projectors, in this case for medium-sized screens with a contrast ratio of 8000:1. Sony is strongly promoting 4K technology, four times higher resolution than the 2K projection system, as the film industry standard not only by promoting projectors, but also supporting film production.
