Harris appoints new CTO and CFO
Steve Reynolds will now be Chief Technology Officer (CTO) while Skip Sorenson will lead finance as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
From now on, Steve Reynolds will lead product development and R&D at Harris Broadcast. For his part, Skip Sorenson will lead finance as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Both will report directly to Charlie Vogt, CEO of the company, who has assured that "one hundred days after the merger of Harris Broadcast, we have been able to design a management team focused on the challenges and opportunities of the industry, our customers and partners. Steve and Skip form a team that shares a clear vision to lead the market in technological innovation and foster a 'customer first' culture. IP software, most recently at Comcast, brings an innovative customer perspective that is ideal for guiding the direction of our product, while “Skip’s financial acumen in both private and public companies aligns with long-term goals and objectives.”
Reynolds will thus be responsible for the development of almost a thousand products, designing and developing the next generation of multi-service technology. Reynolds came to Harris from Comcast, where he was senior vice president of Consumer Premises Technology. Previously he had worked at OpenTV, ACTV, Intellocity and TV Guide.
For his part, Sorenson, the new CFO, will be responsible for finances and IT operations. Prior to Harris, he worked as EVP and CFO at IT solutions provider CompuCom.
