GEMINI 444 con ARRI ALEXA

The Gemini 4:4:4 recorder/monitor Convergent Design has been present in several of the productions that now aspire to obtain an Oscar.

Three nominees for best film and two for best photography used this solution. Captain Phillips, directed by Paul Greengrass, with cinematography by Barry Ackroyd; The Wolf of Wall Street, by Martin Scorsese with photos by Rodrigo Prieto; Nebraska, by Alexander Payne, with Phedon Papamichael in the photograph; and Gravity, by Alfonso Cuaron with photography by Emmanuel Lubezki, are the films that integrated Convergent Design systems into their workflows.

All of these films were shot with ARRI Alexa cameras and captured the footage in 2.8K ARRIRAW directly on the Gemini 04:04:04, the world's smallest ARRIRAW recorder. With its 5” touch screen and dual 1.8” SSDs, the Convergent Design proposal was ideal for the aerial shots that were carried out in Captain Phillips o The Wolf of Wall Street shots with the Canon C500 con salida 4K RAW.

After the success of the Gemini, Convergent Design now has the Odyssey7Q, which offers the same advantages as its predecessor but with a 7.7" OLED screen and greater recording options. The Odyssey7Q includes the Multi-Stream option, which allows you to monitor and record up to four simultaneous HD signals.
