Fairlight EVO.Live

And NAB 2014, Fairlight will present its new digital console for broadcast environments and live productions Evo.Live. Designed based on the latest technology in audio processing and control, it has a compact but modular design, which makes it ideal for mobile units or studios.

The console will be available in different chassis and in configurations from 12 to 60 faders. The ergonomic control surface design with TFT touchscreen monitors offers immediate access to all critical console functions with excellent viewing. In addition, the system maintains full redundancy with automatic switching in the event of any component failure.

Fairlight's interactive control surface includes unique image cues that instantly self-label for each task performed, displaying the right commands and functions at the right time. Additionally, Fairlight's new iCan (IntegratedControl over Network) technology offers the operator a very easy-to-use editor to design completely customized projects.

The console incorporates complete Dual-Operator functionality allowing each audio engineer to independently access their own set of faders, solos, channel selections and test and measurement controls.

Audio processing is carried out using Fairlight's audio engine based on Crystal Core FPGA, which allows both buses and channels to work at lower latency with maximum sound quality. Integral Mix-Minus, advanced intercom, extensive metering and flexible buses are other features that complete your processor. The compact 2U Live System processor includes a wide range of built-in inputs/outputs. The addition of a second hot-swappable FPGA-based engine with dual-input power supplies ensures maximum system reliability. A wide selection of remote modular inputs and outputs are also available to meet the demands of any application.

It should be noted that when the console is not used at a live event, the Evo.Live can be completely reconfigured, becoming an audio post-production system, with full integration of video, plug-ins, automation and 3D surround panning.
