After the great success of 'A Gun in Each Hand', Filmax and Impossible Films join forces again to carry out this project.

TrumanStarring Ricardo Darín (The secret of her eyes, The bride's son) and Javier Cámara (Living is easy with your eyes closed), Cesc Gay returns to direction with Truman.

The film focuses on two old friends who reunite after several years without seeing each other. Despite the time that has passed, when they meet again it is as if no time had passed. Julián and Tomás will live some unforgettable days together; laughing, remembering old times and crying... because their meeting is goodbye.

Cesc Gay explains that "the essence of Truman is an attempt to make sense of confusion, uncertainty and the unknown; a continuous mix of comedy and emotion, irony and tenderness; a cocktail of sensations that will make the audience laugh, cry, think and smile."

After working with Cesc Gay and Javier Cámara in A gun in each hand, Ricardo Darín was waiting for a suitable opportunity to repeat the experience: "I am very excited to work again with Cesc Gay and with Javier Cámara, someone I really admire. It is great to be part of a film as sensitive and original as Truman."

Javier Cámara also expressed his desire to work with the director again: "Cesc Gay's films are the voice of my generation. He is a director who explains what we are better than anyone else. If he offers you to be part of a film, accepting it is inevitable."

Iván Díaz, head of international sales at Filmax, spoke excitedly about this new project: "Truman is without a doubt one of the best scripts we have read at Filmax. It is a story that touches the heart. Cesc Gay is a director of exceptional talent who knows exactly how to make an everyday story become something wonderful. If you add to this the magnificent talent of Ricardo Darín and Javier Cámara you have a truly special film. Truman also has great box office potential because it is aimed at that mature and intelligent audience that in recent years years has become so important in territories around the world.”

Impossible Films' goal is "to produce films that appeal to a broad, international audience. Working again with Cesc Gay on his latest tongue-in-cheek comedy, alongside two fantastic actors, really reinforces our desire to reach everyone."

For its part, Filmax is in charge of the national and international distribution of the project, which has been presented at the Cannes Film Market. Filming is scheduled to begin in September or October of this year. The project is currently in the pre-production phase.
