Cesc Gay's film wins six awards, including best film in a non-Catalan language, director and screenplay. Josep M. Civit wins the Gaudí award for best photography for 'The King of Havana'.

VIII Gaudí PrizeThe film directed by Cesc Gay, Truman, was the winner of the eighth edition of the Gaudí Awards presented last night at the Forum Auditorium in Barcelona by the Catalan Cinema Academy. The film won the Gaudí award for best film in a non-Catalan language, direction and script (Cesc Gay), leading actor (Ricardo Darín), supporting actor (Javier Cámara) and supporting actress (Dolores Fonzi).

For its part, the award for the best film in the Catalan language went to The longest way home. Sergi Pérez's film has had to settle for this award among the 16 for which it was nominated.

The longest way homeAnacleto: secret agent, by Javier Ruiz Caldera, has won awards in production direction (Josep Amorós), artistic direction (Balter Gallart), sound (Oriol Tarragó, Sergio Bürchmann and Marc Orts) and visual effects (Lluís Castells and Lluís Rivera).

Four awards have also gone to The King of Havana, by Agustí Villaronga: editing (Raúl Román), original music (Joan Valent), photography (Josep Maria Civit) and costumes (María Gil and Sonia Segura).

Absent, Rosa Maria Sardà has received her Gaudí d'Honor in the hands of her son Pol Mainat.
