Jonas Carpignano, Sony CineAlta Discovery award in Cannes

His short 'A Ciambra (Young Lions of Gypsy)', the filmmaker's third work, convinces at the 'Semaine de la Critique' in Cannes.

Yesterday afternoon at the awards ceremony for Critics' Week The jury, chaired by the French director Rebecca Zlotowski, selected the short A Ciambra (Young Lions of Gypsy) by director Jonas Carpignano as winner of the award Sony CineAlta Discovery.

The Italian Jonas Carpignano directed Ressurrection Man (2010), A Chjana (2011) y A Ciambra (2014), which is his third short. He is currently filming his first feature film in Italy.
