At the 'La Semaine de la Critique' awards ceremony, the jury, chaired by Israeli actress and director Ronit Elkabetz, selected the short Chickenpox (Varicela) by director Fulvio Risuleo as winner of the award Sony CineAlta Discovery.

Fulvio Risuleo (from Italy) has directed Sardonic grin (2013), Bizarre report (2014) y Mother Yeast (2014). Varicella (2015) is his fourth short film.

Fabien Gaffez, coordinator of the short film selection committee, highlighted that "the two facets of Fulvio Risuleo, as a narrator and as an actor, highlight a true illness: maternal overprotection. The staging, which begins with a naturalistic aspect, becomes increasingly stylized until the last frame, which seems to give way to the horror genre and the penetrating force of poisonous ideas."
