Since 6 years ago the technology of AEQ landed in Iraq, the volume of projects and businesses has experienced a spectacular increase, currently becoming one of the leading countries within AEQ's commercial division in the Middle East despite all the bureaucratic and political problems inherent in such a complex scenario.

Although the first installations carried out in the country were based on analog material due to its simplicity of handling, installation and maintenance, AEQ's digital technology has now become popular.

In recent weeks, AEQ has equipped two important stations in the country: Radio Baban and Radio Al Media, in both cases on AEQ Forum model compact digital consoles with a booth or recording booth on the new ultra-compact AEQ CAPITOL model.

AEQ Forum is a compact digital mixing console in modular format, designed for on-air emissions control. It incorporates all the basic features necessary in this type of environment: automatic cut-off of monitors, cut-off cough, faderstart, signaling control, control signals for the automation of external equipment, management of external communications, intercommunication,... With a modular design and small size, AEQ FORUM adapts perfectly to different scenarios such as self-control, control-locution, television production controls, sound production, mixed configurations or integration in large installations.

Simplicity and control power are combined in AEQ Forum to cover both the most basic and advanced operating needs, starting with a minimum control surface of four faders and can be easily expanded up to 8 and 12 independent channels with the standard chassis as in these projects, or up to 20 channels with the Grand Forum chassis.

Digital at analog cost

On the other hand, the Capitol digital console brings AEQ technology in digital audio consoles for broadcast applications to radio and television stations that digitalization has not yet been able to reach. Based on the AEQ Arena and Forum consoles that today equip hundreds of high and medium level studios, and the comments of customers who asked us for a product with the same power, versatility and simplicity as FORUM, but suitable to digitally replace, “at an analog cost”, the consoles that continue to equip the majority of radio studios and TV sets. Capitol offers the same features as Forum in a “fixed” format with limited options, adapted to the real needs of most stations.

All projects with AEQ technology in Iraq have been integrated and implemented in close collaboration with its local partner, Mecast, in coordination with AEQ's technical departments in Madrid-Spain and Miami-USA.
