The Film Symphony Orchestra is releasing video clips as a preview of its 2014 tour

The orchestra returns to Madrid on September 26 with a unique show in the Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas in a tribute to the best film music of all time. Subsequently, FSO will go on tour through the main Spanish capitals

July 2014. Heat. Plaza de Toros de las Ventas in Madrid... Darth Vader and clone soldiers invade the arena accompanied by orcs and other monstrous villains. For their part, an army of heroes of all time led by Princess Leia and Cersei Lannister, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Superman and Spiderman, appear in combat ready to defend courage and justice... Meanwhile, Jack Sparrow wanders between them without knowing very well what to do... Mary Poppins drops her handkerchief and the battle begins.

The world of fiction is divided... until the Film Symphony Orchestra, led by its director Constantino Martínez-Orts, who, with the magic of music, manages to transform the souls of heroes and villains and make peace triumph again.

Because music unites us

That is the slogan of the video clip with which the FSO presents its 2014 Tour, which will start on September 26 at the Plaza de Toros de las Ventas, as a tribute to the greatest film music successes of all time and a nod to the “eighth” art, television.

The spot was recorded at the beginning of the month in the Madrid arena with the participation of the winners of a massive casting held through social networks. In this way, the orchestra's own fans become protagonists of what seems to become a classic that arrives every summer: the FSO video clip.

Since the first FSO tour began in March 2012, more than 35,000 people have already enjoyed one of the unique concerts of this orchestra that exudes a passion for music and cinema in equal measure. If the first tour was dedicated exclusively to the great composer John Williams, winner of five Oscars and nominated 45 times, last year the program focused on great themes of our time, ranging from Gladiator a Apollo 13, Out of Africa or the unmistakable James Bond. In these two years, more than 20 concerts and the main auditoriums in Spain, from Malaga to San Sebastián, passing through Zaragoza, Valencia or Barcelona among many others and including, of course, the National Music Auditorium in Madrid, have allowed thousands of spectators to live an unprecedented musical experience.

On September 26, that experience will become a unique event when FSO jumps from the classic auditoriums to the Las Ventas arena to bring together more than 10,000 people in a unique concert in our country.

After passing through Madrid, the orchestra will visit Seville and A Coruña, passing through Barcelona, Valencia, Zaragoza and Bilbao, among other cities.
