The Film Symphony Orchestra is releasing video clips as a preview of its 2014 tour

The orchestra returns to Madrid on September 26 with a unique show in the Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas in a tribute to the best film music of all time. Subsequently, FSO will go on tour through the main Spanish capitals

Julio 2014. Calor. Plaza de Toros de las Ventas de Madrid… Darth Vader y soldados clones, invaden el ruedo acompañados por orcos y otros monstruosos villanos. Por su parte, un ejército de héroes de todos los tiempos encabezados por las princesa Leia y Cersei Lannister, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Superman y Spiderman, se presentan al combate dispuestos a defender el valor y la justicia… Mientras, Jack Sparrow deambula entre unos y otros sin saber muy bien qué hacer… Mary Poppins deja caer su pañuelo y comienza la batalla.

El mundo de la ficción está dividido… hasta que aparece en escena la Film Symphony Orchestra, led by its director Constantino Martínez-Orts, who, with the magic of music, manages to transform the souls of heroes and villains and make peace triumph again.

Because music unites us

That is the slogan of the video clip with which the FSO presents its 2014 Tour, which will start on September 26 at the Plaza de Toros de las Ventas, as a tribute to the greatest film music successes of all time and a nod to the “eighth” art, television.

The spot was recorded at the beginning of the month in the Madrid arena with the participation of the winners of a massive casting held through social networks. In this way, the orchestra's own fans become protagonists of what seems to become a classic that arrives every summer: the FSO video clip.

Since the first FSO tour began in March 2012, more than 35,000 people have already enjoyed one of the unique concerts of this orchestra that exudes a passion for music and cinema in equal measure. If the first tour was dedicated exclusively to the great composer John Williams, winner of five Oscars and nominated 45 times, last year the program focused on great themes of our time, ranging from Gladiator a Apollo 13, Out of Africa or the unmistakable James Bond. En estos dos años, más de 20 conciertos y los principales auditorios de España, desde Málaga a San Sebastián, pasando por Zaragoza, Valencia o Barcelona entre otros muchos e incluyendo, por supuesto, el Auditorio Nacional de Música de Madrid, han permitido a miles de espectadores vivir una experiencia musical sin precedentes.

El próximo 26 de septiembre, esa experiencia se convertirá en un acontecimiento singular cuando FSO salte de los auditorios clásicos al ruedo de Las Ventas para congregar a más de 10.000 personas en un concierto único en nuestro país.

Tras su paso por Madrid, la orquesta visitará Sevilla a A Coruña, pasando por Barcelona, Valencia, Zaragoza o Bilbao, entre otras ciudades.
