beIN Sports launches its third channel in France

After the World Cup in Brazil, Al Jazeera's sports channels in France reach two and a half million subscribers.

Two years after launching its first two channels in France, the Qatari group Al Jazeera is preparing to launch its third channel on September 15.

beIN Sports 3 will broadcast sports such as handball, tennis, volleyball and athletics as well as a selection of matches from Ligue 1 and the Champions League will also be broadcast.

BeIN Sports 1 will broadcast the most important competitions, while beIN Sports 2 will cover the European football championships. On the online channel beIN Sports Max will broadcast all those full matches that the rest of the channels do not broadcast.

Al Jazeera will continue to charge its subscribers a fee of 12 euros per month for the complete package.

After the World Cup in Brazil, it is estimated that beIN Sports France has two and a half million subscribers.
