U-tad announces more than 120 scholarships to promote high-level training in the digital sector
The scholarship application period is open until September 19 and 30, according to the program. The financial award will range between 10% and 40% of the amount of the chosen Postgraduate Degree.
U-tad, the University Center for Technology and Digital Art, announces its Postgraduate scholarship program for the 2014-2015 academic year with the aim of promoting high-level training in the digital sector.
This aid plan includes the Impulsa, Santander and Red.es scholarships. In total, the University Center will grant more than 120 assignments to various Postgraduate degrees in its three training areas: Digital Business, Engineering and Art and Design. The bonuses will range between 10% and 35% in the case of the Impulsa Plan and between 10% and 40% for the Santander scholarship program. The endowment for the Red.es scholarships will consist of a bonus on the amount of the Postgraduate degree selected by the student among those degrees belonging to this specific scholarship plan.
Thanks to these bonuses, the University Center promotes equal opportunities to access higher education and promotes the digital skills of professionals who wish to continue their training.
Scholarship Programs
- Impulsa Program: will have the allocation of 100 scholarships and aims to support professionals who want to train in the field of the digital economy. The Master in Digital Business, the Master in App Programming for smartphones and tablets, the Master in Video Game Programming, the Professional Master in 3D Character Animation or the Expert in Character Design, are some of the degrees in which students can benefit from these bonuses.
- Santander Scholarships: their objective is the specialization and updating of knowledge of professionals in the field of digital communication. In addition, it aims to encourage professionals and entrepreneurs who wish to create new products and services in the digital field. On the one hand, 20 students will benefit from these grants for the Master in Digital Communication: design and development of interactive content #MCDI, and on the other hand, 3 scholarships will be assigned for the Master in Digital Entrepreneurship #MED, which allows students to acquire knowledge about the creation and management of a business project and serves as a guide for new entrepreneurs.
- Red.es Scholarships aim to acquire digital skills that help students develop their training in the digital sector. The Indra Master in Cybersecurity, the TELEFÓNICA Master in Advanced Software Development, or the Professional Master in Creating Visual Effects for Film, Television and Advertising (VFX), are some of the degrees included in this program.
All those who wish to apply to obtain one of the Impulsa or Santander scholarships can do so until September 30. For Red.es scholarships, the submission period ends on September 26. Academic excellence, professional merits, economic situation, motivation to develop your professional skills or place of residence are some of the evaluation criteria for the allocation of scholarships (it will depend on each specific program).
