‘A Place Called World’ Selects Avid S3L-X for On-Set PA Mixing and Broadcast Recording
The binomial Avid S3L-X and Pro Tools, systems that Neotecnica markets in Spain, have shown excellent quality and maximum versatility in the program A place called world, broadcast by Canal+ and LaSexta in Spain, which Call & Play has been selected as a sound mixing system on set and for audio recording for broadcast.
The format, which has become the musical phenomenon of the moment due to its quality programming, has been created by San Miguel and has the musician and producer Javier Limón as presenter.
The recording of each program has an audience that watches the performances live, enjoying a rich and dynamic sound thanks to the live mix carried out with the S3L-X system, which in turn is connected to a computer with Pro Tools 11 through a simple Ethernet cable, and is responsible for recording the audio for the subsequent broadcast of the program, with a high level of quality.
A second Engine E3 connects to the system, also via Ethernet, forming a redundant ring and allowing the connection of a second computer with Pro Tools for backup recording.
In addition, after the performance, it is possible to edit and mix the recorded material using the S3 surface, separate from the rest of the elements of the S3L-X system, as it is also an advanced Eucon controller for Pro Tools and major audio workstations.
