Jake Dodson, new director of Product Management at Riedel
Previously responsible for global product management and technical publications at Vitec Videocom, he joins Riedel to guide the strategic direction and development of new solutions.
Riedel has named Jake Dodson as new director of product management. In this role Dodson will be responsible for guiding the strategic direction and development of Riedel's entire range of solutions.

Dodson has more than 25 years of experience in product and strategy development in the telecommunications, defense, broadcast and live production sectors. His career began at Marconi Research in the United Kingdom where he worked on the development of high-speed fiber optic communications for military and telecommunications environments. In 1991 he founded Optical Components, a startup specialized in the production of high-speed (10 Gbps) optical modulators for telecommunications optical trunk transmission. Dodson later led teams at Silicon Valley companies such as E-Tek Dynamics, JDS Uniphase and WaveSplitter Technologies.
In 2006 he joined Clear-Com as part of a turnaround management team. During his tenure as vice president of product management, he completely revamped the product strategy and formed a roadmap that returned the company to the path of success and profitability, also playing a key role in the acquisition of a Canadian technology company. Dodson most recently was vice president of product management responsible for global product management and technical publications at Vitec Videocom.
