MEDIA program opportunities for screenwriters and filmmakers

SGAE and MEDIA España organize an information session in which the situation of audiovisual creators will be analyzed.

On June 9, MEDIA Spain and the SGAE organize an information session on the opportunities of the MEDIA program for screenwriters and filmmakers.

The session will feature Peter Andermatt, director of the MEDIA Spain Office; Fabia Buenaventura, Audiovisual Manager of SGAE; Ana Sanz Magallón, script editor and tutor in training programs; and Pere Roca, executive producer for Focus Media, and director of the MEGA (European Master of Audiovisual Management).

The MEDIA Subprogramme of the Creative Europe Program of the European Commission distributes 120 million euros each year to strengthen the European audiovisual industry, and a considerable part of these funds is used in areas related to project development.

In this informative session, specifically aimed at scriptwriters and directors (film, TV, video games), the situation of audiovisual creators, their challenges and opportunities, will be analyzed from the perspective that continuous training and internationalization are becoming increasingly relevant. The main sources of information and how to get the most out of them, training programs aimed especially at creators and what is expected of a scriptwriter/director when requesting development aid will also be addressed.

The session will take place on Tuesday, June 9, at 5 pm in the Manuel de Falla Room of the SGAE (Fernando VI, 4 Madrid). Registration is free with limited places. More information in this mail.
