RTVA Andorra, which is now 15 years old, updates its end-to-end VSN system
The main media outlet in the Andorran country, which manages radio, television and the public Web news platform, has a complete end-to-end VSN system that has celebrated its 15th anniversary with a recent update of VSNExplorer.
Ràdio i Televisiò d’Andorra (RTVA), the main media outlet in the country that manages public television, radio and web platforms, is now fifteen years old. Its facilities have an end-to-end system based on VSN solutions and products. The entire workflow is orchestrated from ingest to study and continuity rooms, through collaborative editing and archiving, thanks to VSN solutions, which are responsible for guaranteeing the main Andorran media outlet safe, efficient and fast operation.
The radio and television world, increasingly competitive and demanding, constantly demands that companies in the sector constantly adapt to new environments and work platforms. For this reason, RTVA has trusted VSN for more than a decade, to provide solutions to its needs so that content can be offered to viewers with maximum immediacy and flexibility. In fact, RTVA was one of the pioneers in adopting a newsroom system for collaborative VSN news production.
Joan Ruiz, technical director of RTVA Andorra, acknowledges that "we decided to install a digital news production environment with archive and we found that VSN was an excellent solution that met all our requirements. We have been working with the VSN system until the latest MAM generation, with unbeatable results."
In recent months, VSN has implemented the latest update of VSNExplorer for the Andorran channel, which centrally manages content for television (ATV) and radio (RNA). Among the main advantages of the new system are the visualization of content in low resolution, cataloging by layers and segments, parameterizable metadata and integration with the VSNCreatv traffic system. In this way, RTVA Andorra has an open, scalable and modular work platform that allows it to work remotely, also responding to new multi-platform distribution needs.
