Fernando Léon de Aranoa en el rodaje de 'A Perfect Day'

Fernando León de Aranoa will be very present at the Cannes Festival this year with his latest work A perfect day. The film, produced by Reposado and Mediapro, will have its world premiere in the Directors' Fortnight.

The film has been mixed in Best Digital in Boadilla del Monte (Madrid). This studio has also been in charge of carrying out the dubbed version into Spanish since the film was originally shot in English.

Starring Benicio del Toro, Tim Robbins, Olga Kurylenko and Mélanie Thierry, A perfect day It is the most ambitious production that the Spanish director has faced to date. In it, a group of aid workers tries to remove a body from a well in a conflict zone. Someone has thrown it inside to corrupt the water and leave nearby towns without supply. But the simplest task here becomes an impossible mission, in which the real enemy may be irrationality. The aid workers travel through the delirious war landscape trying to resolve the situation, like guinea pigs in a maze.

The film will hit Spanish screens on August 28 from Universal Pictures, and has the participation of TVE, TV3, Canal+, Telecable and Orange.

The script is based on the novel let it rain, by Paula Farias, and reflects an atmosphere of tension that Álex Catalán has photographed with ARRI Alexa excellently.
