Tedial launches fully integrated MAM and archiving solution on Doordarshan
The Indian public broadcaster, at its headquarters in Kolkata, implements the MAM Tarsys solution.
Tedial has installed its Tarsys MAM solution at the Indian public broadcaster Doordarshan. The Tedial system, launched at Doordarshan's headquarters in Kolkata, provides operators with a series of browser-accessible tools, as well as a fully integrated filing system, scalable in volume and performance. Tedial's archive will be connected to Doordarshan headquarters in other regions as well as its central archive in Delhi. The installation was carried out by Tedial's Indian partner Mediaguru.
Doordarshan provides television, radio, Internet and mobile phone services in metropolitan and regional India as well as abroad through Indian Network and Radio India. In addition to having a complete archive, Tedial's MAM Tarsys technology will allow Doordarshan to ingest material from Betacam SP, DVCPR050 and XDCAM HD422, including content recorded in U-matic, both on tapes and optical discs, generating high and low resolution. Tarsys is fully integrated with HP 30TB online storage and a 48-slot HP LTO6 tape library as well as Tektronix Cerify QC for automated file-based content quality control. This structure allows operators at the facility to navigate, search, catalog, and store content through Tedial's browser client.
