The Norwegian NRK launches the largest multisite MAM project with Tedial Evolution
With Evolution, NRK will have scalable tools to increase the performance of its online media with unprecedented speed in line with the increase in consumption that increases year after year.
Norwegian public broadcaster NRK has launched the largest installation to date Tedial Evolution. This next-generation solution will provide NRK with multisite Enterprise MAM tools, Capture Manager software and a tailored disaster recovery system at both its headquarters in Oslo and its twelve regional offices.
Tedial Evolution, which has received industry recognition with several industry awards such as the Panorama Award for best media management, is an end-to-end platform that provides complete tools for media preparation and logistics across a complete supply chain.
In the case of NRK, it will allow you with scalable tools to increase the performance of your online media with unprecedented speed in line with the increase in consumption that increases year after year.
Tedial Evolution is designed to reinforce a collaborative work environment and workflows for linear, VOD and OTT services.
With Evolution, NRK will have a centralized MAM, fully configurable and accessible from anywhere throughout the country, allowing professionals to access resources and specific operational activities according to individual or group needs. Balanced workflows across NRK's headquarters and local offices will increase efficiency by taking advantage of additional bandwidth and latency. On the other hand, Tedial's capture management software will provide a central control and monitoring interface for all ingested material.
When it comes to disaster recovery, Norwegian public television will now have the security of automated content replication with transfer to multiple sites.
The new workflow with Tedial Evolution is fully integrated with the metadata bank and other third-party solutions already existing in NRK.
Helge Løken, Director of Production Projects at NRK-Origo, has assured that "NRK is looking forward to collaborating with Tedial on this project. They are a company with a solid reputation in the broadcast industry and we have complete confidence in their ability to develop this project."
For her part, Esther Mesas, director of sales and marketing at Tedial, maintains that "the new generation MAM technology allows broadcasters and producers to run global operations with greater competitiveness. NRK required a long-term partner that can provide an outstanding technical solution, which will leverage the total cost of ownership and meet future technical requirements. We are delighted to be this partner and look forward to working with NRK in the next five years and beyond."
