Axon will bring its solutions for control and signal processing to IBC
The Cerebrum control and monitoring system is playing a key role in some of this summer's events such as the Golf Open or the USA Tennis Open in Flushing Meadows (New York).
Designed to work in a 4K environment, Axon will show its latest solutions for control and signal processing at IBC 2015. Among them, Cerebrum stands out, a diffusion control and monitoring system. This solution is achieving a very good reception in mobile production, news and studio for both local and remote production, simplifying all the monitoring and control processes of various devices in a single easy-to-use interface.
Also worth noting is the presence at IBC of Synapse, Axon's line of signal processing products, which the manufacturer has now adapted to a 4K environment. Among the new features, a 4K downconverter, a distribution amplifier and two production “Tool Boxes” (U4T100 and U4T140) stand out, intended to alleviate the challenges of a 4-wire production installation transporting Vanc and Hanc data as well as time code and embedded audio. The U4T140 also provides a Dolby E encoder and decoder.
In Amsterdam it will also carry out demonstrations of an AVB Ethernet backbone network optimized to gain efficiency in the production environment.
Finally, it should be noted that among the latest installations carried out with Axon technology, News UK in London and Metro TV, the first 24-hour information channel in Indonesia, stand out. Cerebrum is also supporting the mobile units that cover some of the season's sporting events such as the Golf Open or the US Tennis Open in Flushing Meadows (New York) and BT Sports' 4K coverage of the UEFA Champions League.
