David Leporini, vice president of marketing, will explain how service providers can fight piracy and make the most of big data.

Viaccess-Orca

David Leporini, executive vice president of Marketing, Products and Security at Viaccess-Orca, will participate in IBC 2015 to address the risk of redistribution of illegal content. On September 10, at 11 a.m., Leporini will hold a technical presentation titled Architectures and Protocols against illegal content streaming over the Internet in the Emerald Room at the RAI in Amsterdam. This presentation is one of the sessions that IBC has organized around big data.

Leporini's presentation will provide information on pirate content platforms, covering the different architectures and protocols used in this context. In addition, the methods that are generally used to configure these illegal services using these protocols and streaming platforms are described, while securing the streaming servers.

Leporini will also participate in a round table on September 13 at 1 pm under the topic What can Big Data offer to everywhere content? The Viaccess-Orca executive will discuss how user intelligence, advanced customer segmentation and the use of profiles can be exploited to offer an improved user experience across multiple screens, thereby increasing customer engagement and opening up new monetization opportunities.

Leporini has assured that "in today's OTT and multi-screen world, content service providers have the challenge of ensuring maximum viewer participation on a wide range of devices, at the same time as premium content protection. Big data has become fundamental to help service providers address these important market issues."
