Thomas Kohler appointed new CEO of Viaccess-Orca

Viaaccess-Orca (VO) has appointed Thomas Kohler, with more than twenty years of experience in the ICT industry, as CEO of the company, replacing Philippe Léonetti, who is retiring.

Kohler is a recognized expert in business development, innovation and company transformation, with more than two decades of international experience in senior management positions at Orange, one of the world's leading telecommunications operators.

Koen Vermeulen, Chairman of the Board of Viaccess-Orca and Senior Vice President of Orange Innovation IT and Services, notes that "Throughout his career, Thomas has proven that he is a natural leader, guiding Orange through various business challenges. Thomas' leadership, his technological knowledge and his extensive understanding of the B2B sector will ensure that VO is well equipped to face future market developments. I would like to warmly thank Philippe for his vision and management over the last four years."

Previously, Kohler was COO of Orange TowerCo subsidiary Totem, where he led business development and operational efficiency for the company. Prior to that, he worked at BuyIn, the joint acquisition company of Orange and Deutsche Telekom, where he was responsible for the acquisition of devices and service platforms (including TV services, routers and STBs), digitalization and business development.

Prior to BuyIn, Thomas led a number of transformation projects for the Orange group in London and Paris. He began his career at Orange as commercial director at Orange Switzerland after having been a management consultant in Germany.
