‘This is Opera’, by La 2, nominated for the 2015 Rose d’Or awards
The outreach program on the history of opera and the great works of the genre competes for the award in the Television Arts category.
This is Opera, the musical popularization program that is currently broadcasting its second season on La 2, has been nominated for the prestigious Rose d'Or Awards in the Arts category in the television section. The winners will be revealed on December 9 at the award ceremony to be held at the British Museum in London.
Directed and presented by baritone Ramón Gener, This is Opera Every Sunday on La 2, he covers the history of the genre and its most universal works. In an entertaining and educational way, each week he approaches an opera and travels to a city related to it to interview current artists or the citizens themselves.
A new and captivating vision of this musical genre to understand and enjoy the most important operas in history: 'Carmen', 'Turandot', 'The Barber of Seville', 'La Boheme', 'Parsifal', 'Pélleas et Melisande', 'Bel Canto', 'The Ring of the Nibelung', 'Tosca', 'Traviata', 'Tristan e Isolda', 'Don Giovanni', 'Rigoletto', 'Manon' or 'The Poacher' in its first season; and 'Nabucco', 'Madame Butterfly', 'Lulu' or 'The Magic Flute', in the second.
The Rose d'Or Awards, promoted by Eurovision and Euroradio, are highly prestigious and reward excellence and achievements in audiovisual entertainment programming.
