From October 2022 to June 2023, viewers of a wide selection of the Helmet cinemas will be able to follow the opera programming of the Metropolitan Opera House from New York.

The new season will open its curtain next October 22 with the big premiere Medea, the mythical tragedy of Euripides whose new production will be directed by Carlo Rizzi. The opera is the fourth production of Radvanovsky con David McVicar, who also designs the vivid sets for this staging. He November 5, the exciting love story of La Traviata, one of Giuseppe Verdi's most famous operas, will return to the big screen at Cine Yelmo thanks to the vibrant production of Michael Mayer directed by Daniele Callegari, Marco Armiliato and Nicola Luisotti. The last session of the year will be The Hours of Kevin Puts, around the figure of the fascinating writer Virginia Wolf. On December 10, the world premiere of the adaptation of the acclaimed novel by Michael Cunningham, a title that also served as inspiration for the Oscar-winning film of the same name

Cine Yelmo - Opera - Programming - 2022 2023In 2023, the season will continue with the premiere of the company's new productions such as Fedora by Giordano (January 14) and Lohengrin by Wagner (March 18). Furthermore, in April Cine Yelmo will celebrate other great titles live on its big screen such as Falstaff by Verdi (April 1), rose knight of Strauss (15 de April) and the premiere of Champion by Terence Blanchard (April 29). To end the season, the final touch will come under the baton of Mozart with two of his most beloved and endearing operas: Don Giovanni (May 20) and The magic flute (June 3).

The new 22/23 season of the MET Opera will be broadcast on 19 Yelmo Cinema theaters in 14 cities: Madrid (Ideal, Planetocio, Plaza Norte 2), Barcelona (Comedy, Icaria), To Coruña (Los Rosales), Alava (Boulevard), Albacete (Vialia), Alicante (Alicante Gate), Almeria (Roquetas), Cadiz (Southern Area), Gijon (Ocimax), Málaga (Plaza Mayor, Rincón de la Victoria, Vialia), Oviedo (The Meadows), Tarragona (Parc Central), Valencia (Campanar Market) and Vigo (Vigo).
