This new version gives users greater flexibility, since it has integrated security and does not require an electronic key. This means that it is possible to run the program downloaded from the Mac store on multiple personal computers, simply by entering the Apple ID.

DaVinci Resolve 12.1

The exclusive version for computers with the OS Blackmagic Design.

DaVinci Resolve 12 has been the most important update to this tool since its creation and has become the fastest growing editing program in the industry, as well as one of the most advanced grading systems on the market.

This new version gives users greater flexibility, since it has integrated security and does not require an electronic key. This means that it is possible to run the program downloaded from the Mac store on multiple personal computers, simply by entering the Apple ID.

Likewise, thanks to the fact that users pay only once, the purchase and installation of programs is further simplified, and the inconveniences and excessive cost of monthly licenses for other virtual applications are avoided. Additionally, the DaVinci Resolve 12 Studio license does not expire, so customers do not have to worry about the program expiring unexpectedly during the course of a project or filming on location, where a network is not available.

Professionals who need to switch between Mac and Windows computers, or who use DaVinci Resolve in studios that do not use an Apple user, can still purchase this version with a dongle, available from all Blackmagic Design product resellers.

Editing and grading in SD, HD, UHD and 4K

DaVinci Resolve 12 Studio is a comprehensive professional editing and grading solution for projects in SD, HD, UHD and 4K, as well as high-resolution two-dimensional or three-dimensional projects. The program includes a familiar multi-track timeline, context-sensitive tools, innovative content management features, audio plug-ins, and a new mixer. In addition, it offers the ability to edit clips recorded with multiple cameras, perform asymmetric and dynamic cropping, and perform keyframe animations following the path of movement on the screen, and includes features for organizing multimedia files for professional editing projects.

On the other hand, users have the renowned quality that DaVinci Resolve provides when processing and grading images and have Power Windows, advanced features for making primary and secondary corrections, and a new function that allows three-dimensional tracking of objects as they move and change perspective. The application also allows you to superimpose 3D images, reduce temporal and spatial noise, apply optical quality dynamic blur effects, and provides stereoscopic tools for collaboration with multiple users, remote rendering and endless possibilities.

It also provides support for display profiles available in the Mac OS X El Capitan operating system and offers the option to display 10-bit images. In this way, users using the new iMac computers with Retina display (P3) will be able to enjoy greater color richness, a higher level of detail and an unprecedented dynamic range.

Grant Petty, CEO of Blackmagic Design, highlights that "since its launch in September, DaVinci Resolve 12 has seen the highest number of downloads compared to its previous versions and has become the fastest growing editing program in the industry. Now, with the version available in the Mac App Store, users of this system have greater flexibility, having the ability to run the program on any computer they have."

The version of the program, available in the Mac App Store, offers support for all OpenFX extensions that comply with process isolation rules, such as Genarts Sapphire. It also supports panels with similar characteristics manufactured by third-party developers, such as Tangent Wave, Tangent Element, OxygenTec ProPanel and JLCooper Eclipse CX.

DaVinci Resolve 12 allows you to edit, grade and finish projects from a single platform. The program allows professional editors to work in a traditional way with a completely new set of functions and, at the same time, provides the opportunity to take advantage of its renowned image processing technology, which makes it possible to edit and deliver final files with unprecedented quality. Plus, the multi-track timeline feels familiar, while hotkeys and a customizable interface make the app easy to use. Even better, with DaVinci Resolve there are no monthly subscriptions and no need to be connected to the Internet or purchase exclusive equipment.

DaVinci Resolve 12 (free download) provides an editing and grading system for independent users carrying out projects in SD, HD or UHD. It allows you to process the same file formats as the Studio version with the same image quality and works on Mac or Windows computers. Likewise, it has been designed for editors and colorists who require a reliable professional tool to develop their business.

DaVinci Resolve 12 Studio is available for $995 and not only has the same features as the free version, but also allows you to use multiple GPUs. It also provides tools to obtain blur effects, reduce spatial and temporal noise, edit three-dimensional images, render remotely and carry out projects in collaboration with other users. This version is recommended for professional studios and collective work groups with Mac or Windows computers.

The award-winning DaVinci Resolve Advanced Panel control surface is available for $29,995 and includes DaVinci Resolve 12 Studio for Mac, Windows, and Linux operating systems.
