"Life is short and we are only time. You get old very quickly and it takes a long time to become wise. This is a fantastic recreation. Because living is what matters and the wrinkles that appear from laughing are beneficial." This is how Ignacio Salas, who has just died at the age of 70, described life.

The former president of the Academy of Television Sciences and Arts says goodbye to us after fighting the cancer he suffered in recent months. Tomorrow, Thursday, he will be cremated at the San Pedro del Pinatar Mortuary (Murcia).

For the president of the Television Academy Manuel Campo Vidal, "one of the people with the greatest sense of humor, creativity and responsibility that we have known has died. He directed the Academy for six years, from 2000 to 2006, and flatly refused any public recognition. On his WhatsApp he spent the last few months encouraging us all. He was a great guy who will be greatly missed."
