The operation, estimated at 2.4 billion euros, will allow Movistar+ to broadcast the Champions League and the League from now on.

BeIN Sports

Telefónica and Mediapro have closed an agreement that will allow the operator's platform, Movistar+, to broadcast the Champions League and the League from now on for the next three years.

After analyzing the offers presented by all the Premium TV operators operating in Spain, Mediapro and BeIN Sports have decided to award the distribution for the next three seasons of the new BeIN Sports La Liga Movistar channel. On December 18, Mediapro opened the deadline for all those interested in distributing the new channel to submit their offers.

BeIN Sports La Liga will broadcast live and exclusively 8 First Division matches per day, always including one of R. Madrid or FC Barcelona. In addition, each season it will broadcast, also live and exclusively, one of the two great “classics” R. Madrid – FC Barcelona. The new channel will broadcast 24 hours a day, seven days a week and, in addition to the matches, will include other exclusive content around the Spanish La Liga and will become the second channel in Spain for the BeIN Sports brand, complementing the one already launched earlier this season with matches from the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Europa League and other international competitions.
