Telefonica Audiovisual Digital (TAD) will have the residential rights to the Champions League and the Europa League for the next three seasons while Mediapro will manage the rights to public establishments (bars, hotels...).

Mediapro has reached an agreement with Telefónica Audiovisual Digital (TAD) for the transfer of the residential rights to the Champions League and the Europa League for the next three seasons. Mediapro will manage the rights of public establishments (bars, hotels...). It will also maintain the broadcast of the two competitions through BeIn Connect and will broadcast one match per day of the Spanish teams competing in the Europa League.

Mediapro is implementing a strategy to promote the exploitation of rights in public establishments with the rights of LaLiga and the Champions League. This segment of the market is clearly less developed than the individual segment and therefore its growth potential is much greater.

The audiovisual group's strategy includes the creation of a specialized channel with LaLiga and the Champions League as star content and other specific content and utilities. Currently in Spain, public premises subscribed to pay TV do not exceed 50,000 subscribers compared to the more than 350,000 that exist in Italy, for example.

LaLiga has recently extended the contract with Mediapro as an International Marketing Agency until 2024 with guaranteed income of around 4,500 million euros for the next 5 seasons. LaLiga Santander is currently considered the first national competition in the world, with great demand from fans from all over the world.
