wTVision provides augmented reality to Sport TV for UEFA Champions League coverage
wTVision contributed to the coverage of the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League by the Portuguese broadcaster Sports TV, providing augmented reality graphics that enriched the studio segments both before and after the matches.
These augmented reality elements were designed to present match data and tactical information in a visually engaging and informative manner, enriching the overall broadcast experience for viewers.
Sport TV used augmented reality graphics to display key statistics and player performance data, seamlessly integrating this information into its studio environment. The augmented reality system was customized to include preconfigured GRFX components, which collect OPTA real-time data.
By incorporating these graphics, developed with Unreal Engine, Sport TV added a new dimension to its Champions League and Europa League coverage, offering fans a more analytical and attractive perspective about each match. This is a continuation of the work that wTVision has been developing with Sport TV for coverage of these competitions, such as the touch screen introduced previously.
This continued approach aims improve the narrative and the presentation of key moments, supporting a deeper understanding of the game during high-stakes competitions such as these.
