Paolo Vasile, Forbes' highest-rated CEO in the media sector

The evolution of the stock market price, the dividend yield, the acquisition policy, the diversification of the businesses, the evolution of operating income and the comparison with its major competitors in the sector have been the main criteria that Forbes has used to make this assessment.

For yet another year, Paolo Vasile is among the main CEOs of Spanish listed companies and first among the country's media companies, according to the study published annually by Forbes.

The business and lifestyle magazine thus highlights the development of his management at the head of Mediaset España in this study for which, according to Forbes, it analyzes criteria such as the evolution of the stock market price, dividend yield, acquisition policy, business diversification, the evolution of operating income and the comparison with its major competitors in the sector.

At the end of September 2015, Mediaset España is a benchmark in terms of profitability, capitalization, audience and market share with a debt-free balance sheet and a positive financial position.

The combination of these variables has led the chief executive of Mediaset España to share prominence in said ranking with his namesakes from large listed companies belonging to sectors as diverse as construction, with José Manuel Entrecanales from Acciona, Juan Béjar from FCC and Juan Lladó from Técnicas Reunidas; energy, Iñigo Meirás from Ferrovial, José Bogas from Endesa and Juan Francisco Lasala from Red Eléctrica; banking, José Sevilla from Bankia, Carlos Torres from BBVA, José Antonio Álvarez from Banco Santander or Dolores Dancausa, from Bankinter, among others.

Mediaset España closed the year as the leading channel group in terms of television audience (31%) and with the best commercial target (33.1%), also recording its best historical records on the Internet, where each month it brings together more than 12 million unique users.
