Paolo Vasile, Forbes' highest-rated CEO in the media sector

The evolution of the stock market price, the dividend yield, the acquisition policy, the diversification of the businesses, the evolution of operating income and the comparison with its major competitors in the sector have been the main criteria that Forbes has used to make this assessment.

For yet another year, Paolo Vasile is among the main CEOs of Spanish listed companies and first among the country's media companies, according to the study published annually by Forbes.

The business and lifestyle magazine thus highlights the development of his management at the head of Mediaset España in this study for which, according to Forbes, it analyzes criteria such as the evolution of the stock market price, dividend yield, acquisition policy, business diversification, the evolution of operating income and the comparison with its major competitors in the sector.

At the end of September 2015, Mediaset España is a benchmark in terms of profitability, capitalization, audience and market share with a debt-free balance sheet and a positive financial position.

La conjugación de estas variables han llevado al primer ejecutivo de Mediaset España a compartir protagonismo en dicho ranking con sus homónimos de grandes compañías cotizadas pertenecientes a sectores tan dispares como la construcción, con José Manuel Entrecanales de Acciona, Juan Béjar de FCC y Juan Lladó de Técnicas Reunidas; la energía, Iñigo Meirás de Ferrovial, José Bogas de Endesa y Juan Francisco Lasala de Red Eléctrica; la banca, José Sevilla de Bankia, Carlos Torres de BBVA, José Antonio Álvarez de Banco Santander o Dolores Dancausa, de Bankinter, entre otros.

Mediaset España cerró el año como el grupo de canales líder de audiencia en televisión (31%) y con mejor target comercial (33,1%), anotando además sus mejores registros históricos en Internet, donde cada mes reúne a más de 12 millones de usuarios únicos.
