Special promotion to upgrade to Edius Pro 8

Grass Valley is now offering Edius Neo (versions 1 to 3.5) or Edius Pro (versions 2 to 6.5) users to upgrade to Edius Pro 8.

Edius Neo (versions 1 to 3.5) or Edius Pro (versions 2 to 6.5) users will now be able to upgrade to Edius Pro 8 thanks to a promotion that has just been launched Grass Valley until April 30.

Mike Cronk, vice president of strategic marketing at Grass Valley, said: "Designed to enable real-time editing of multiple formats on the same timeline, the Edius 8 allows editors to work quickly without having to worry about converting or transcoding source material. This is a must-have tool for news coverage, live productions, documentaries and many other applications.

Edius 8 offers support for more formats and resolutions than any other editing solution, allowing real-time editing of all popular SD, HD and 4K formats, and with no rendering required. Additionally, it is supported by Windows 10 and includes a new GV navigation tool to manage video, audio and frames on a PC, before importing into Edius for editing.

The latest version of the Grass Valley editing system allows you to work in real time with SD, HD and 4K formats (with support for Deck Link 4K Extreme and Ultra Studio 4K and Aja Kona 3G).

Another great novelty is the possibility of sharing EDLs and AAFs with DaVinci Resolve, both importing and exporting them through Grass Valley HQX. Support for Deck Link 4K Extreme and Ultra Studio 4K (both from Blackmagic Design), as well as for AJA KONA 3G.
