'The Ministry of Time', 'Teresa', 'Roman Engineering' and 'On the Cover', finalists at the New York Festival

Four RTVE productions are finalists at the New York International Television and Film Festival: the series The Ministry of Time, the tvmovie Teresa, the report Nisman from En Portada, and the documentary series Roman Engineering. The contest has announced the finalists for its 2016 edition, whose winners will be announced on April 19 in Las Vegas.

The Ministry of Time is a finalist in the Drama category. The series produced by TVE in collaboration with Onza Entertainment, the original idea of ​​Javier Olivares and directed by Marc Vigil, is broadcasting its second season on La 1, with new journeys throughout the History of Spain. In addition to the recognition of the public and the “ministerial” fan phenomenon that it has awakened, there is also applause from the sector, with important awards such as the Ondas Award.

Teresa It is nominated in the tvmovies section. A co-production of TVE and La Cometa TV, directed by Jorge Dorado, which offered a new vision of Saint Teresa and which premiered last year coinciding with the V Centenary of her birth. Marián Álvarez stepped into the shoes of Teresa de Jesús, accompanied in the cast by Antonio de la Torre, Aitana Sánchez Gijón, Terele Pávez and David Luque.

On Cover opt for one of the awards in the Politics category, for the report Nisman in which the program investigated the death of the Argentine prosecutor Alberto Nisman, who wanted to accuse Cristina Fernández de Kirchner. A trip through Argentina and Israel in search of testimonies about this complex plot and all the hypotheses surrounding the death of the prosecutor. Scripted by José Antonio Guardiola and directed by Susana Jiménez Pons, it premiered in the last season of 'En Portada', which in its more than 30 years of experience has collected numerous awards, including the Ondas and recognitions in previous editions of the New York Festival.

and the documentary series Roman Engineering is a finalist in the Arts category. It is a co-production by TVE, Digivisión and Structuralia about the challenges that Roman engineers faced when building their colossal works: from the aqueducts of Nimes or Segovia, to the Roman Theater of Mérida, through its roads and bridges. Directed by José Antonio Muñiz and presented by Isaac Moreno, the series has also generated the first transmedia project with virtual and augmented reality videos from the RTVE.es Lab.
