ATTO incorporates the new line of Gen 6 Fiber Channel solutions

With the addition of Gen 6 Fiber Channel products, ATTO increases the range of storage and network connectivity products.

ACT Gen 6 Fiber Channel

ATT Technology has incorporated the new line of Gen 6 Fiber Channel solutions into its portfolio. This range includes Celerity 32Gb HBAs (Host Bus Adapters) in single and two-port profiles and 16Gb HBAs in one, two and four-port versions.

These solutions will allow broadcasters and production companies to capitalize on their existing SAN infrastructure and address the growing need for high-performance, scalable and secure storage, to manage the growing amount of data generated with 4K/8K technology and the proliferation of virtual servers.

Tim Klein, CEO of ATTO Technology, recognizes that "IT departments are under increasing pressure to guarantee quality of service with an always limited budget. Upgrading a fiber channel SAN to 32Gb Gen 6 is a logical choice to improve its performance."

Rounding out the new HBAs are ATTO's 7500 and 6500 FibreBridge storage controllers and Thunderbolt-enabled devices, which connect mobile platforms to high-speed networks and storage infrastructures.
