ATTO Technology will show a new way to expand and reuse storage at HPA Tech Retreat 2019
With media applications in mind, the new XstreamCORE 8200 hardware-accelerated protocol features powerful storage controller features.
ATTO Technology will present from February 11 to 15 at HPA Tech Retreat 2019 (Palm Desert, California) their new protocol ACT XstreamCORE 8200.
This is a new hardware-accelerated protocol bridge with storage controller which allows multiple workstations to share a set of SAS storage over an iSCSI or iSER network.
With XstreamCORE 8200 you can easily configure and manage block storage using a much less complex interface than traditional server interfaces. The storage pool can be assembled using new or compatible storage hardware for a new use.
This solution is a great complement to the NAS workflows used by media and adds speed and flexibility necessary to these workflows. XstreamCORE 8200 increases asset availability, provides a means to quickly archive and retrieve content, and users can implement a tiered storage strategy by combining SSDs, HHDs or SAS tapes and connect to storage via Ethernet.
